the rape of the cupcake.

Hahahha. This is what I did on my lunch break today. Hahaha. I just had this thought yesterday as I was eating a cupcake from someone's birthday party -- I was licking off the icing and then putting it back on my desk for later (than 10am) - and I looked at the half eaten cupcake by my phone and felt kind of sad.
Hahha.

So, here are some sketches (finally) from my trip to the zoo -- which was really fun& interesting. I got to see a different part of (outer) Columbus. It was really big& new and also next to a water park (a little tacky) and a golf course--all part of the zoo. Parking& admission were cheap, hooray. And I got to drive through some rural areas that reminded me a lot of Fresno due to their massive developments& brand new shopping centers. But there were also cute main streets that looked some what old (from atleast the 70s.)

My day at the zoo was a very chill experience. I dropped my ipod in the rhino pit. Other than that - super chill. I would like to do this again - evidently they have a jazz night at the zoo regularly. The thought of sketching while listening to live jazz just sounds awesome. Yes, zoo again soon (preferably without dropping ipod into animal cage). Cheesy as it sounds - I'd really like to bring Adam or perhaps ELAINE my sketching buddy^^

tuxedo rabbit

You know what else I like in tuxedos (aside from cats, penguins and now bunnies)?

James Bond.

I actually got this idea from one of our first OC's- Grace made a character with bunny ears I believe, and I think I did some goat boy... Ah, memories.

Okay, next time for real I will draw a girl. Maybe. We'll see.

Also, katie- why do your sketches keep disappearing? Keep them posted!

Ninja! ... related.

Next topic? Can't think of any constraints right now to narrow it down, except maybe it can't be like... really stereotypical or something.

Even though I didn't do my second animal costume one, which I'm still... thinking about, at least. It's been really hard for me to sit down and draw on the computer, being that it's super hot over here and all, and with the whole no scanner thing (still), and not even a digital camera to bootleg it (oh wait... I have my phone...) it might be a while. But at least my sketchbook's been getting a lot of play :D

(to make up for lack of sketches on my half, I kinda thought of the next possible topic: skeletons? Yes, no? Oh well, ninjas first.)

cute commercial

Mitsubishi Lancer, "Safer in a Wild World" from PRA on Vimeo.

It's animal costume related!

In other news, it's really hard to get things onto the computer without a scanner.... The one I have access to at work isn't really... working... and we've been bugging them for a new one, but I don't really see that happening until after we move to the newer office.

Also, my monitor at home is really messed up, color wise. I used to think that it was okay until I would draw at home, and then view it here on a mac, and notice just how off it was... Any suggestions on how I could fix it? It might not even be just my monitor but the actual hardware... Argh.

moose& kt

So - this is my 2nd animal costume. More like, animal hat. I thought of this yesterday because I'm starting to feel really consumed by the a&f culture. optimistic! aspirational! sexy! effortless cool! independent! and so it goes. haha. (so i guess this can be kind of a a&f-ified self portrait. (cos - no way am I that cute/skinny/sexy/independent/aspirat--ugh.)

Also - I've always liked the idea of having fashion models with gigantic animal heads. I had an awesome vision of the models outside the a&f flagship in nyc wearing huge moose masks. how cool would that be ? hollister could have seagull masks that are just giant birds. kekeke.

Off to the gym... to attain that effortlessly cool look (which takes a lot of effort, i imagine.)

Animal Costumes

Just because I'm anal and really into organizing to the point of ridiculousness....:

Until people catch up/ come up with something,  the topic's (still) 'Animal Costumes.'  And yeah, post sketches too of random stuff- the only constraint for that is it has to be done during work, hahaha. Or... whenever. Okay, so there is no constraint.

YES.

bloody kangarooooooo

Yay! I actually did this in one sitting (yeah, I was that excited)- so I bet I'm gonna notice a lot of mistakes tomorrow... I haven't had the incentive to draw (aside from work related stuff- ugh) so this has been very nice indeed.

Mmm, you can't really see it here, but the whole idea of this was backed by this incident (which I don't remember now) in which I noticed that when blood gets in your mouth, it gets into the cracks of your teeth and makes you look like a psycho- awesomeeee.

And yes, kt, I still only draw boys. And I type too much.

Any ideas for our next 'topic?'
